Our founder, Philip Kettering, established Kettering Roofing & Sheet Metal in 1916. Getting his start hauling a wheelbarrow and asking neighbors if they needed roofing work, he eventually upgraded and expanded his business to create a company known for quality work. He has since passed down his family business to his son, Valentine Kettering.
A Family-Run Business
Valentine left the business to join the military, then returned upon receiving an honorable discharge. As the new owner, he focused on promoting commercial and residential roofing services while also providing work in heating, air-conditioning, and even historic restorations. Now, Valentine's son, Timothy Kettering, and grandson, Matthew, are the fourth generation of Ketterings that are currently operating the company.
